Fantech is a brand that focuses on gears and accessories for budget consumers. Not only they make peripherals, but they also make other products like gaming chairs, case fans and many more. The Fantech EG1 is one of the best offerings from Fantech. Lets take a look and check if the EG1 might be your next headset.

UNBOXING AND FIRST IMPRESSIONS

UNBOXING

The front of the box shows the earbuds along with its removable mic and the model name and some features of the product itself. While the back we can see information about the in-ear headset along and you can see its plastic mold that houses the headset. The items included in the box are the in-ear headset, the detachable mic, extra ear tips and wings, adapter and the warranty card.

DESIGN AND BUILD QUALITY

The in-ear headset looks like a typical gaming headset with its red and black color scheme and the design looks rather bulky to me and the cable itself looks cheap and thin. It has inline controls located the left side of the headset.

USER EXPERIENCE AND CONCLUSION

AUDIO/SOUND

I’ve been using this for a week now, I must say I’m surprised by its sound quality. I was expecting it to be not good for music listening, but I was wrong. The bass is not really overpowered, unlike some gaming headset. It is decent enough for music listening and gaming at the same time. While I’m surprised at its sound quality.

COMFORT

I’m a bit disappointed at the comfort of using this. My ears start to hurt after 2-4 hours of gaming and I can feel its heaviness overtime. Aside from the comfort, the build quality on this decent.

The in-ear headset is a good choice for budget gamers out there who prefer using in-ears rather than a headset. For the price of 600 PHP, you get decent sound quality for gaming and music listening and a good mic for voice comms. This would be a good present for your loved ones who are gamers in the coming holidays.
